As Director of International Affairs, he was tasked with finding and qualifying new suppliers in European countries, then in so-called 'low-cost' countries. In this way, he developed expertise in sourcing, which he used in the RFI phase of major industrial equipment purchasing projects. On his return from the United States, as a consultant, he introduced the RFx concept for the benefit of the buyer, for a rational and justified selection of the chosen supplier.
