A high-performance team is first and foremost an organised team. And the basis of organisation is first and foremost task planning. Setting objectives, defining tasks, coordinating actions... these are all essential steps in bringing projects to fruition. Another essential element of good organisation is good communication. Or rather the right communication tools. Especially when you and your team are teleworking. But how do you choose the right collaborative working tools for your needs?

3 criteria to take into account

The degree of complexity of the tool

Before making your choice, it's a good idea to assess the level of competence of the people who will be using the tool.

For example: if the tool is only available in English, make sure that all those who use it have a good command of the language.

The functions available

Ask yourself about your needs and those of the team.

For example: Do you need to organise regular videoconferences, brainstorming sessions or face-to-face meetings? If so, the tool should include a video module so that you can also take notes and share your screen to make it easier for everyone to understand.

The number of employees required to use the tool

Avoid choosing a formula that is too small: you may not be able to add collaborators who were not initially included in the project.
