A retired career soldier, Dominique Peter has been mayor of the commune of Chahaignes since April 2020. In addition to his duties as first councilor, he also chairs the Environment Commission within the Loir-Lucé-Bercé community of communes and the presidency of the Joint Union of Bassins du Loir and La Braye.
