1. Taking care of your brain

  • Get enough sleep
  • Take regular breaks
  • Concentrate on one task at a time
  • Limit interruptions: aeroplane mode, closed door, deactivated notifications, etc.
  • Don't compare yourself to others: your rhythm is your own

2. Controlling your time

  • Break down your day into blocks: projects, meetings, specific tasks, etc.
  • Identify your moments of maximum productivity
  • Classify your tasks according to urgency and importance (Eisenhower matrix)
  • Deal with the quick tasks first
  • Delegate what can be delegated

3. Organising your workspace

  • Keep the essentials close at hand
  • Regularly store and classify your documents (physical and digital)
  • Sort things out: a clear desk, a clear mind

4. Optimising your communication tools

  • Use e-mail only for clear reports and follow-ups
  • Give preference to the telephone for rapid exchanges
  • Define a time dedicated to reading and processing e-mails
  • Use the tools wisely: alarms, reminders, favourites, etc.

5. Structuring your projects

  • Apply the urgent/important logic to each project
  • Highlight current projects (visual to-do list, Kanban board, etc.)
  • Define realistic milestones and deadlines
