Teleworking offers flexibility, but it also requires rigour to remain effective. Here are some best practices for maintaining your day-to-day productivity.

1. Structuring your day

  • Plan your tasks the day before
  • Manage your energy: complex tasks in the morning, simple ones in the afternoon
  • Stick to a fixed timetable to organise your day

2. Establish a stable routine

  • In the morning, start with a ritual (coffee, reading, brisk walk).
  • Dress like you're going to the office
  • Keep clear transitions between work and personal life

3. Preserving your well-being

  • Take regular breaks (5-10 min every 90 min)
  • Between meetings, stretch your legs, go for a walk...
  • Create a comfortable, dedicated workspace

4. Communicating clearly

  • Synchronise with your team first thing in the morning
  • Use fluid collaboration tools (Slack, Trello, Notion...)
  • Be transparent about your availability

5. Cutting at the end of the day

  • End with a "closing" ritual (tidy up, next day's to-do).
  • Avoid checking your work e-mail in the evening
  • Allow yourself to disconnect without feeling guilty
